Meet Your Pastry Chef


 

 

This Little Light Bakery and Caribbean Delights was founded by Suerence Marcelle in 2019. Suerence is a self-taught pastry chef who started baking as a hobby making candy apples and chocolate treats. Born in Trinidad and Tobago, Suerence expanded her baking talents to display her Caribbean roots in some of her delicacies such as black cake and Caribbean pastries. It is important to her to bring 'a taste of home' to those who live abroad and share her culture with neighboring residents. 

With this 'hidden talent' that Suerence discovered she realized she can turn it into something profitable. A year later Suerence expanded from treats to making pastries and designing wedding cakes. Seeing how people reacted to her flavors and work of art she knew she took the right step in her business. She prides herself in the artwork of her desserts and gourmet layered donuts. 
Suerence is dedicated to exciting people's palates and bringing different cultures together through her desserts. "My goal in my business is to share a piece of my culture with my community and to bring a taste of home a bit closer to home."
