  Crème brûlée is my comfort dessert. Super easy to make with ingredients we always have in our kitchen. Crème brûlée is a French dessert consisting of a rich and soft custard made with cream and yolks and topped with a crispy layer of caramelized sugar. It is super easy to prepare, you only need 4 basic ingredients and it takes only few minutes to prepare. It’s such a simple dessert, yet delightfully flavorful and very elegant and impressive. They have a great balance of sweet, spice and fruity flavors, and the deep red color turns this into a beautiful centerpiece dessert too. The French used it as a way to consume fruits that were not ripening to their liking on the tree; this way the fruit would not go to waste. Eggnog Panna Cotta with Wine Poached Pear

Happy holidays! What better way to spread some joy around the dinner table with a lovely dessert. This Christmas I decided to turn it up a notch with an Italian dessert topped with a poached pear. This recipe does contain alcohol, but you can replace it with non-alcoholic red or white wine or apple juice. This recipe makes 2 glasses.
